It could have been called ‘Birds of Paradise’…
What a change from the ordinary at Orchid Beach. It could have been called Birds of Paradise. It was a tropical paradise, a home away from home. We hardly saw or knew the owners were in residence, but when we had a question or request, a knock on the door, provided local practical knowledge, stainless steel bolts, fresh bait, sharp knives and suggestions on where and when to fish. The White Wave residence was very well appointed and comfortably furnished. This is our third stay at Orchid, and by all accounts our most enjoyable and relaxing.

I cannot say enough about ‘White Wave’…
I have stayed in accommodation all over the world (resorts, Hilton, Sheraton) this is second to none and in our own back yard.
Thank you Rob and Jenny for a fantastic stay. Stayed with Rob and Jenny for a week fishing for Taylor, had too many to take off Fraser, so left fillets in freezer for the next visitors, and 15 kg Pillies. Rob also chatted with us a number of times, smoked some Taylor fillets for us and was in the midst of building a swimming pool.
5 minutes from the beach, 5 minutes from the shop and bar. Very clean and tidy with lots and lots of room. Very big living areas, outside areas, going to bed and waking up with the sound of parakeets in the morning was delightful as it is situated in a valley, so sheltered from storms and wind.
Very family friendly. I cannot say enough about “White Wave” it is above excellent and have already booked for next year to go fishing for a week.
We had an awesome time and with the best host on Fraser, thank you Rob and Jenny.

The best place to stay on Fraser!
I just wanted to send you a quick e mail to say thank you for your kindness and hospitality you showed while we stayed at White Wave. We had a fantastic holiday and allot of this was attributed to your kindness and generosity, the informal friendly chats, local knowledge and yummy morning tea 🙂
You provided such a welcoming family atmosphere and this is greatly appreciated, (our last family holiday earlier this year did not end so well, we were told our children were disruptive, our youngest was only 6 months old and still cried at times so were asked to move on so we were quite nervous this time around).
We will be recommending White Wave to all our family and friends as the best place to stay on Fraser!
We cant wait to come back to White Wave!!!!

Our stay at White Wave was incredible. The accommodation is more than comfortable. There was nothing we needed while we there which shows how well equipped the unit is!
The location is superb – especially with small children – being close to Orchid Beach where the traffic is a lot less, is really worth it! We will definitely be back for another holiday!

I highly recommend it for the perfect Fraser get away.
We recently stayed at White Wave and enjoyed every bit of our stay.
Everything was brand new and the rooms were perfect. We even had board games and BBQ to make our stay even more memorable. We were a group of 6 and didn’t have any problems staying at White Wave, very comfortable and convenient.
It’s near amazing places like orchid beach, champagne pools, indian head and other tracks. Rob, our host did an amazing job to make us feel home.
White Wave is the perfect place to stay and I highly recommend it for the perfect Fraser get away.
Thank you Rob, I hope we have a chance to come back and stay a little longer than 2 nights this time.

We stayed at White Wave and had enjoyed the wonderful house.
It is conveniently located near the stunning Orchid Beach. We woke up to the sound of birds, no car or traffic in sight. The rooms were super clean and all amenities brand new.
Rob and Jenny, our hosts did an amazing job to make us feel home. I highly recommend White Wave for the perfect get away on Fraser Island. It is a great place to stay for a group of people or as a romantic getaway for a couple.
